Hi Sabalo,

Boy did you come in at the right time. Can pretty much answer all your questions since I just went through this.

If you want to manually release the pulldown screw. Inside the car, dead middle on the bottom you will see a plate with two nuts, (bolts) undo them and the screw will release.

Yes Marty, the car does have Recaro seats. Just power, not heated, (don't even know if there is an option, for heated?)

I didn' see any burn or trace marks on the relay and the seats were functional before I found the relay. I believe that the rocker switch going bad and the pigtail going to it ...

Location Of Black Box In 1987 McLaren Mustang

Good Morning All,

Just wanted to share the location of the black box in the 1987 Mustang for future reference.

I found it behind the lower trim panel at the bottom of the steering column. Tested the circuit and the black box indeed is the culprit for the loss of power to the rear harness as Marty ...

Need Help With Loss Of Power To Pull Down Switch

Good Morning,

I am new to the board and would like to thank you for taking the time to make this happen and for letting me join.

I have a 1987 McLaren Mustang and have lost power to the switch for the pulldown motor and tonneau cover.

The fuses are all good and I didn't see any external fuses ...
