Forgot to mention also - if you looked at the font very carefully, you will see that is doesn't attach like the RS air dam does. it fits over the bumper cover - like most other air dams do. You can barely see rivets and look at the corner where it fits over the cover.

The factory RS air dam slipped ...

I believe that air dam has been brought up before - rather here or on the four eyed site. it not quite the same as the factory. You can look at the fender/bumper cover lines and the spats/fender extensions. They do not line up. Also you can look at the material at the font - near the fog lamps. not ...

That is a shame. I feel the salvaged title is a problem with some buyers. Even though the car has no tell tale signs, the salvage title will always follow the car and will raise a flag to a buyer who wants the car....

I think that air dam was discussed many moons ago, but can't recall the response. It is a copy of the regular capri 5.0 (RS) air dam, but where the fender extensions are cut are different. It is cut different that the original capri. In the regular capri, the length of fender extensions matches the ...

In my opinion - that is actually what it was - just a sound....
BUT as I will admit - I have never and will never see every Mclaren from 87-90 that exists. I only state what I have been experienced with.... BUT if ever in doubt - listen to Mustangs of the same venue and you will hear the same ...

Mass air came out in 1989 for 49 states, 88 for CA cars.

No cam during that till 89 would run correctly with speed density (86-88, 86-87 CA cars).

Most of the time - a factory mass air car is slower than a factory 87-88 speed density cars. Mass air was used for emissions. Ford also made a mistake ...

The E-303 is worse for a speed desity car than the B-303 believe it or not. The lobe separation is 110 for the E-303. I have had a capri with a mass air conversion with an E-303, and I can tell you the 87 and up mclarens do not have this cam in them.

How do we explain the one or two sunroof 85s that have surfaced.
I have one. Did they just happen to produce one, or did a customer order one?

Remote Detector Diagram

Thought some of you might be in need of the factory connection for the Remote Detector.

(Sandy/Mike - If we don't have this already, we might need to have this saved in the info thread where Diagrams are to be stored ) ?

I actually thought that some late 88s got some of the 89 changes ?

My door pull 'cups' are the later style.

I believe my top may be different too. I thought the measurements were different, but I could be wrong....
