Nice 87 They did a good job. From the outside looks mostly stock, but under the hood major horsepower. Very Nice

Not bashing at all cause it looks decent...BUT I always find it amusing when people say things like "Professionally Restored and Maintained".........
and then say

- Needs Spot Touch Up and Minor Ext. Work -

This is actually an '88, since its #644. 1987's were #1-#479.

He's done alot to this, looks like its been taken care of. I'd like to know what exactly was done to it for $27,000.

For the money he put into the car, I'd like to see more pictures posted.

I spoke to the owner via email.

He is selling due to the fact that he has a Shelby GT500 convertible on its way and needs the space........nice.......

He started it out for sale at $12,500, but has since lowered it to $10,000. He said it has a couple of small door dings in it, but very clean overall.

I spoke to this guy a few days ago too. He says he doesnt race it but it is a good handling car. It does look beautiful.

, but it is a 1987. The mirrors are on the A-Pillar. Unless he put them on their.
I don't the guy who owns this car knows what he's talking about. He says it was "Professionally Restored and Maintained".
Just look at the fog lights and those rims.
Whats with those fog lights anyway?

I agree its a great looking car.

But back to the dash plaque. It must be an '88 due to the #644 ID, '87s stopped at #479.

About the mirror on the A-pillar, I understand why you might think its an '87 just because of this, but I have seen other early '88s thru the years with A pillar mirrors.

Yea, he replaced the stock fog lamps with an aftermarket style similiar to PIAA lamps. The thought had occured to me a few years back, but I decided against it for then due to I didn't think I'd be able to mount them in a way they would look right. Yes, his stick out a little.....

Sometime during 88 they changed over on the sideview mirrors. Also I only see two pics of this car, is there a link to more? Thanks.

So what you are saying they changed the mirrors halfway in 88 they changed the mirrors to those convertible and filled in the holes on the A-Piller with Bondo.
87-88 1/2 Mirrors on A-Pillar.
88 1/2-90 Convertibles Mirrors on Door.

That would be assuming Ford shipped them all with A pillar mirrors. They could have sent the cars out with the different style mirrors too. I am going on a longshot from memory but think T-Top cars also shared the same mirror dilema at one point. I could have sworn seeing them with both style mirrors. late in 88 ford switched the mirrors if you go here http://www.ascmclaren.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1263 you can read what sandy said about this rare gray car that the color was offer in late 88 only and all cars in that color had the late style door mount mirrors
