Dont even bother they can reset your account if you get to close, lol Just kidding.

Nick :)

PS as someone mentioned its much better to keep the posts informative and friendly as we are all doing a great job on. I remember dealing with some groups that people would reply to anything with for instance emotes just to keep their posts high as if it were a contest. Mostly in game groups.

Not in my view, nor do I believe Mike or Sandy have this opinion. I think the primary goal is to keep out spammers. Mike indicated he is not looking to get rid of regular visitors to the site. Besides, now you have a post so you can go back to lurking for awhile

Hey dahberg, I never said anything about not getting rid of spammers,
I'am all for it. Mike made it perfectly clear what his intentions are and they sound good to me. I never accused that of being anyone's opinion
it was just a question after reading some of the reply's. Now since you
find it so laughable  because I like lurk let me give you my reasons.
1- A lot of questions that I had has already been asked in past posts.
2- I'am still fairly new to the site and not yet comfortable voicing my
opinion.
3- I been a member since 6-7-06 and as of tonite I finally got a welcome
to the ascmclaren.org site 4 months later!!!!
Look I could go on but I wiil stop here, all I'am saying is Mike I agree
with the way your handling the situation again never said I didn't
I just don't agree with some of the reply's

Lurkers are vital parts of every forum out there. For every active posting member there are 10 lurkers. If we got rid of accounts that do not post regularly, trafiic to this site would drop off the map. And that is something NOBODY wants.

While I would encourage Lurkers to come out a bit more often, I LOOOOOVE to see that there are people that come here and lurk. It means the site is still active and there is still a good deal of inerest in these cars.

Unfortunately regular members have no way of knowing of the new comers. Welcome to the group! :) Out of curiosity now that you are making some posts what shall we call you? It makes it even harder to address someone if they dont post their name. Sorry thats just a peev of mine and so many people do it. Thanks.

Hello, GQ! I am from the suburbs of Newark, N.J. Actually from the home town of Seton Hall University, South Orange. See, there's South Orange and West Orange & just plain Orange. There never was a North Orange, because...aww, never mind.

I am the moderator here, but people are so nice (99% of the time, that I don't have to moderate).

I assume that you were born in 1949 (I'm keen) so we are very close in age (GQ1949). We here like pictures more than a 12 year old likes "Playboy Mag" pictures, so I know I look forward to seeing some pic of your "baby" ~ I am also the class clown here and have a habit of talking out of turn. (This is permitted when ya reach age 60) !

So, it's a pleasure to say Hi to another Michiganer (?) Does that fly?

You can click below to see photos of my 3 ascMcLarens ~ They are 1986 Coupe, 1990 Vert & 1990 Silver Anniversary Vert.

Welcome to the site GQ!

Not my site to be welcoming anybody, but glad you joined the group. I joined this site August 29th, 2002. Had been a member of the old Yahoo site prior to Mike and Sandy setting this one up. Unlike you, I never have received a welcome! Since I did not post to introduce myself at the time I joined, I really never expected a welcome. But that is just me and my initial desires to lurk. Sorry, I did not intend to offend you with the Emoticon.

Hey GQ,

Never would have guessed those were your initials GQ, thats so cool. You seem like a really nice guy, glad you found us over here. Your car has the same options as mine just different years. I have an 88 black/ tan / 5 spd. Can't wait to see your pics.
