Holy crap, I just checked on mapquest and noticed where in Florida Henry is located. Some of my cronies and I are going to Florida next March for our dream vacation: Eight glorious days of Spring Training baseball.

We will be staying near Tampa, and it looks like Odessa is only a few miles north of there. Hmm. I wonder whether I could talk my buddies (none of whom are car guys at all) into a little side trip. No way. However, I might be able to dump them off at a game and take a solo trip to Henry's place. Hmm, indeed.

Sadly, not any more. I recently found a very nice unrestored 50,000 mile 1974 Cougar with the 351 (nothing special about that, certainly) that I wanted badly. It was that copper/gold color that was popular for Torinos and Cougars in the '70s. I didn't get it, as it ended up selling for over $5000.00. I was shocked. That's almost as much as I paid for my McLaren.

I then found another original low-mileage one, this time here in the Dallas area, that was the same color, but with a bigger engine. It sold for $6500.00. That's just insane. The craziness in the muscle car world is slowly lifting the prices of the smog era cars that followed. Whodathunkit?

I met Hank at a Ford Show in Commerse Ga a few years ago and he seemed like a nice guy i would love to go see his collection and mayby pick up a deal

that would be a neat thing to plan for several of us to go and visit there any takers....... And it would not be complete without Sandy

While it would be awesome to see all of Hank's cars, be aware he does travel. It would be in your best interest to pre-arrange any visits as Hank and his brother George are known to cross the country for car shows and events.

Wish I was independently wealthy and able to travel at will...

I met Hank at the Spring Swap in Ohio earlier this year. I saw a couple of tables out with various emblems and picked up 2 ASC McLaren emblems for the grill and rear hatch. I went to pay for them and said that these were cheap, because Hank in florida sells them for alot more. He responded with Hi, I am Hank from Florida. He's a nice guy, maybe he'll be at this swap meet coming up after Thanksgiving.

Yea, great article. I wasn't sure I was going to get the Dec. issue of PonyMonthly (I don't want to offend Ford). I got it about 2 weeks late.

He has a great collection of mcLarens. Sure was a great idea purchasing all of the remaining ASC parts........

One of the pictures there is a American Racing wheel box I wonder if thats the wheel I sold him when rasing money for the Grand Prix Capri car.
