87 and up center console any condition

1987 & the first half of 1988 center consoles are slightly different than 1989 & 1990 center console. For one thing, (fastest to spot) the cigarette lighter on 87 & first half 88 is on the console, while 2nd half 88 & 1989 & 1990 it's inside the ash tray.

yeah i have noticed that but it does not matter to me i would prefer the 87 one because i think that looked the nicest but it doesn't matter

Fine. Just wanted to point out the differences to you, so that you'd be aware of them. Either will fit nicely.

thanks sandy, i did not notice that there was a difference until about two weeks ago when i was going through them mclaren galleries

Hi Hsean, welcome to the group. What color are you looking for? You can use any Mustang center console as they were not changed on the McLarens. I saw quite a few on Ebay recently. Also btw some come with or with out the arm rest, I believe in 90 they had it deleted but need to double check on that. Either way you can always add one on.

I am getting the entire interior from a 88/89/90 McLaren next week, red interior. I'll let you know about the console. I am selling all the parts ASAP once I get them next week. I'll let you know more then.
