I'm not sure what they go for anymore, I haven't followed them but looking at that car I really think it's a bondo bucket and full of rust. That's got to hurt it's value.
Look at the pictures. The one side has enough waves to float a boat to China.
I had a 67 Cougar once. We did an outer resto but oh boy there was still rust lurking under the surface. The frame rails were good and the outside looked great after we were done but the rear quarter wells in the trunk area were gone. The shock towers were cracked all up from rust and the cowl leaked BAD due to being rusted.

He does a good job of describing the car for others. IMO what a steal this was. I did a NADA price check on it. The only option I selected for it was the 351c it should have in it so this pretty much is a lowball figure. Oh and the car sold for only $6,600.

I'm guessing that not having the 351C hurt it a bit. Not to mention the wheels are not correct, and I'm sure the underside is a mess. If the torque boxes are rotted and the floors have already been replaced, you can bet that everything is rotted on the underside, brake lines, fuel lines, frame, spring purches, ect...

I still think it is way ahead of the game personally. Its relatively easy to find another 351c to place back in the car. Let alone a 4v 302 is worth something as well. The quick NADA search I did on the car did not include all the other available options ordered on these cars and they brought up the value anywere from 5-25% each one! I also selected the least expensive 351 so if it is in fact the beter one the car came with it goes from 15-20% (5% higher alone). These cars are nearly as rare as ours, I believe there were only 2500 or so ever made.
If you saw what that shell of a car recently went for on Ebay, many people would pay well over triple that amount just for the tags alone and swap it on another vehicle similar but in awesome shape.
