Door Dew wipes or Belt line replacement parts
I understand the 86 Converible started out as a Capri Coup. When ordering outside door whipes, what model do you order, coup or convert ? will the 86 Fox body mustang also fit ? what about 87-93? mustang convert? Any ideas here? Thanks

The new repro outer dew wipes should work for all cars.
From 83-86 the outer dew wipes do have different Ford part numbers. One for verts and one for hatch/notch. From a pretty good practical examination by others, there is no difference to them at all.
As far as asc goes, I don't know if they modified them...I don't think so.
www.foxmustangrestoration.com has the repro dew wipes. The come with the metal trim and the rubber. They work well but what you will want to do is to remove the rubber and swap it over to your OLD metal trim. The repro metal trim is GARBAGE! The rubber is nearly identical to the original stuff though and works fine.
You can always call Ford or a NOS parts house but they will cost you $130 or more PER SIDE if you find them.
