Headlight switch: What is the "Visibility Light Group&q

I called the local parts store for a new head light switch for my 85, they asked "With or without Visibility Light Group", does that mean with or without factory driving/fog lights?

Yeah, 85-86 headlight switches were different depending on whether you had fog lights.

actuly it is with or without the buzzer i remember 3 years ago ordering the one without and it came with out the buzzer. the buzzer is the black conector that goes into the back of the switch... i dont see why fog light would matter... they have their own switch

The foglights are supposed to run through the circuit breaker that is in the headlight switch. That was my understanding. Of course the foglights on my car are far from wired up and working right now.

If you look at 50resto and the like, they list headlight switches for cars with foglights and those without.

Ask this question over at www.foureyedpride.com and see what people say...

i see what you are saying i just remember having orderd the wrong one and it was the same thing just with out the pins in the back of the switch for the buzzer. i cant say to much about the fogs too as i have never had fog lights in my car since i got her

anyway i know for a fact that you need it WITH the visibility group i dug up my papers and the one i got in the end was the one with it

I went to Advanceautoparts lasy night, I bought the switch Without visibility option. Will try it this weekend. It only cost me $15, MustangsUnlimited listed it for $45, big difference in price.

So I guess everybody is saying if you ADD fog lights to a non-fog light car you need a Different headlight swtich.

MustangsUnlimited sounds like a true Ford Motorcraft switch price.
