Touch-Up paint

Can anyone give me a good touch-up paint "match" for the white paint color on my '87 McLaren that I can find at an auto parts store? Any more info would be helpful. I just bought my McClaren this weekend and need to "detail".

Welcome! I think the paint code is in drivers door jamb and i recomend you to have a body shop mix you some or you may get lucky at local parts store on a close match.

Your Paint Code is on a blue & white label on the underside of the trunk lid. Open trunk & look up.
Name is Keeweenau White (as named by ascMcLaren) But beaware that all colors used came from some other car, in some other year. I have a chart on this site, but the white I was never able to find. So, to get exact, you'll have to call Sikkens in Norcross, Georgia. Cust. Serv. They will send you off to the Sikken distributor nearest you. It's very very very pricey paint.

IMO, you'd do better to invest $25.00 and go to where they sell Dupli-Color Touch Up Paint and using you eye-power try & pick out 3 or 4 that look close. Open trunk lid and apply a little bit and see which one matchs the best.
But, remember, the exterior has faded. The under lid of the trunk has not faded.

Sikken makes you buy a minimum of a pint, and their pint is around $40.00, more in major cities & surrounding areas.

Thanks for your prompt replies to my inquiry re: white paint for my '87 McLaren. GREAT INFO!!!!

See that you're from Farmington Hills, Peter. We moved to Sarasota, Florida from Farmington Hills 3 years ago.

I look forwatrd to visiting this website often. Also have a 2002 T-Bird and there is a very active website for those too.
