This is interesting, I thought that the 2/seater mustang/capri were from
84-90.I wonder do he has any documentation on the car?

That's a Mustang and probably one of the other manufacturer convertible versions made back before Ford started making them.

I would be very leary of his claim that it is a Ford test version.

I checked it out ! It's a BIVOUAC for sure. Tip off is the "Chest" in the back seat. I've located 5 of them since getting a computer in 1998. All 5 have been red, but I do know it came in any NON METALLIC on any years Mustang color list. Cannot prove it, but I do believe it was made 1980 - 1982. Valhalla, Michigan.

There's lots I don't know. I am way better with Imperials, my other love !
I don't own any, any longer, but at one time I had a 1972 LeBaron 4-Door Hardtop, a 1974 LeBaron 2-Door Hardtop, a 1975 Crown St. Regis Formal Coupe and a 1968 Crown Convertible, was Veep of the Imperial club, wrote & published an award winning book on Imperials, was awarded the prestigous Golden Quill Award, for excellence in a hobbyst publication for 1980. Imperials I know about ! ascMcLarens I dabble with.

But the IOC (Imperial Owner's Club changed. IMHO not for the better. I began to lose interest, sold off my Imperials (kick me-please) and then........ OMG - along came 1985/86 and this thing called an ascMcLaren. I was done in. Funny how life & loves are, ain't it ?

Drive your Hot Yellow '89 up here to me. Lets look it over. Winter will get here in 8 months. Now is the time to make plans for storage. You should purchase a "Car Jacket" for her.

I may take you up on that... A road trip is always a good excuse to take a road trip!

We don't get too much nasty winter around here, and it won't go out if there is salt (or whatever they use now) on the road. Will definitely get a cover for it. I understand it needs a panel repaired on the driver's seat.

It will definitely get exercised regularly. I am a firm believer that a good car has a few rock chips, but it will be cared for lovingly! I think primary Yellow will look good against my primary Red 442, what do you think? Pics of the 442 are up at my FQuick site.

Nice collection. 'Ya like 442s ! I like them too, along with Buick Gran Sport 455s. I'll bet your wife drive the Bonnie, right? What are you doing with that Saturn ??

Actually, the wife drives the Miata. Because of her MS, she can't drive a stick though. Ever try to find a Miata with an automatic? Egad they're hard to come by!

The Pontiac Bonneville is gone, as is the Saturn. Now, for our two person household we have; a 1969 Triumph Bonneville, a 2001 Impala (company car), a 1986 Mercury Station Wagon, 1996 Miata, 2001 HD Dyna (for sale), 1975 Yamaha XS650 cafe project (for sale), a 1993 Yamaha VX800, and the 1972 442! Oh, I forgot the Larson All-American (19' boat).

It's a disease!

I asked about documentation and his response was: "JUST FROM WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM A FRIEND IN KY. WHO HAS ONE HE DID LOOK IT UP WITH FORD .BUT I DONT HAVE ANY PAPER WORK."

There is no cure but there are worse things to be addicted too just remind them.

I also like the 442's especially the 86, the T-A is nice wish you had pics of yours though, and the best so far is the ASC!!!

Yeah, she knows there is no cure. When we were getting married, I asked her "you're not going to be one of those gals that decides her new husband now has to sell off his cars and motorcycles, are you?" Somewhere I have pics of my T/A, I'll put them on the FQuick site as soon as I run across them. It's a pretty cool site.

The '86 442 was NICE! Untill some lady ran a light and T-boned it. Hit it so hard the drivers side T-top over lapped the roof, and the passenger's side opened up 3/4 of an inch!

I wasn't driving it, a friend of mine was. He wasn't hurt thoguh, thank God! Didn't even see her coming, just boom!

Hey Bill congrats she sounds like a real keeper!!! Does she have any sisters? lol....

I like the looks of the 86 442 as well as the Monte Carlo SS, GN, T-Type, but didnt care for the Grand Prix of that era. They were classy lookers.

You should post some pics in your album here as well as a link to your other site you post at. This way it makes your cars more accessible to see.
