It is in better shape than mine was when I first got it, if it were closer to CT I would buy it as a second project.

its amazing to see an ASC sitting like that in a woods unprotected. It looks pretty good given the conditions.

The other amazing thing is that exterior-wise everything is there. I don't see anything thats robbed off of it. Plus it even has the original wheels. This could be a great project.

Hopefully it will get saved. I hope it doesn't get "pimped"......

if it wasn't for the too many projects i have going on right now i would jump on it .that car looks great from the pics and being it is in florida the framerails and floor pans are probably in decent condition.somebody is going to get a great deal.

Appears the seller may not know what he/she has? While there are photos of the ASC related emblems, there are no mentions to the fact in the listing - just "Mustang".
Weeds through the floorboards? Did the seller email anyone any additional pics, or was that an assumption?

Somebody here should save it. It can be made very very nice. Seems like it's all there, and to the seller it's probably a "weird Mustang" of some sort......

Thanks Sandy. I'd love to save this one, but I don't think its in the cards...

In the past year I've been "planting the bug" in my wife's ear that she should have some sort of "summer ride", and that how great she would look driving a convertible. Of course some of you know where I was going with this scheming.....heh, hehe, BUT with good intentions - it would be her car. I thought how great it would be to find another McLaren......FOR HER! There are many things holding me back from this. The #1 issue I have is that our tops are not power and on top of that you have to be careful raising and lowering it as to not damage it. (reminds me of the MG I used to have, that top wasn't very fun to operate either). It helps to have some upper body strength in doing the operation, and she is on the petite side. I just feel she needs a power top, automatic (although she CAN drive stick, very proud to say), and airbags would help to, and most of ours don't have those either.

She'd love that Paris Blue, Coral Red metallic, or Aquamarine. Gee, can I make it any more difficult than that??? WHERE ARE THESE CARS!!!

Hey, if my wife, multiple sclrosis and all, can operate the top on her Miata, your wife con do the same with a McLaren top!

On the Miata, she has to unzip the rear window before lowering the top, not easy!

Anyway, I understand, you want it to be right for her. I just had to throw in a little razzing.

Hank bought & re-sold 1 of the 5 Sea Foam Aqua cars. I had been half-heartidly after it, too, but dropped out. One is (or was 4-Sale in up-state New York. Hank owns the Coral Red car (1 of 1) that needs a total resto. She was somewhat abused. Eric in NJ - a friend of mine has a ;89 Paris Blue that he is on again & off again been thinking of selling. It's mint.

If I could only turn the clock back to January 1990, I would have ordered a Coral Red with the Light Opal Grey interior and the Claret-Wine roof.

None were so made. I have the last remaining copy of the corporate color &Trim book, and put them together, and THAT THERE is one dynamite combination !!!

Not as good as I'd hoped, but not as bad as it could be. Needs a top, carpet, paint, a couple trim parts. The worst part is that It seems to have made a trip or two to the great white north... and sat in the woods with some humidity. A few rust spots but not so many that can't be dealt with. No, It's not heading for "Pimp-Land". Think I'm going to do a slow and steady restore. By the way, the dash ident number is 1064. Looking forward to getting to know the Mclaren crowd. Have some mustang experience and alot of mechanical expertise. The car is in the Kissimmee, FL area.
