I'm SO very hungry, that I could eat the southern end of a north-bound skunk !!

But,
I'm not allowed to eat until tomorrow, and then only "mush" ~ I got my "Allowed" list....

Jello, cool mashed potatoes, cool coffee, room temp Soda, cottage cheese, not hot cream-of-wheat cereal, soft, non toasted bread with butter and/or jelly, soft banana, pudding room temp, and a couple other "delights" Nothing "cold" and nothing "hot" - all room temp.

So, I had 1 tablespoon of room temp mashed potatoes, and a room temp R/C Cola and a squart of Redi-Whip in a dish.

My next appointment is April 30th, again for 90 minutes, and then I am done for 90 days. Healing period.

Tonight, the stitchs hurt, and the mouth is sore.

I just keep thinking about taking the Coupe out for a ride, in May. Looking forward to it. Coupe didn't get out in 2006. Time for its annual 43 miles.

I bled last night, while asleep. Pillow case was bloody. Stitchs are okay, gums, probably. Today, I am better, but oh so very very weak. I drove our Jeep over to the Jeep dealer to order new shocks ( 8 miles) and then home (8 miles). Nice, sunny weather, extremely light traffic, (2PM) and came home exhausted from it. The stitchs pull when I eat, so I don't like eating (Did I say that? :bs: )

April 30th we do the 2nd one. Then 90 days for 5 beautiful new teeth that will become mine - permanently and do not come out at night ! :blob:

Thanks for the update! Be carefull driving though, surgery can really take a lot out of you. We need you around you know! Besides, you will be very susceptible to all the creeping crud going around and so shouldn't expose your self to it.

Shiny Side Up!

The stitchs really hurt. On the ceiling or roof of my mouth. A very tender area, with like no elastisisty like outter skin has. Last nite, with an evil taste in mouth, I took a capfull of Scope. Damn, it was like being electrocuted. Shock waves thru the whold head. Burning as the alchol wound its way around the stitches and into the incesion.

BUT, ALL IN ALL I am just ultra tired. I have 6 stitches on mouth's roof.
The novacaine in the Dr office was alot of fun !! 4 full capacity of needle shots. all into gums, roof of mouth & inside cheek. It's now 48 hours later, & getting there.

We (I) get an encore presentation April 30

Hope you're feeling better, Sandy. Stitches in the roof of your mouth have got to be painful. Take it easy and heal quick.

Glad you used Scope instead of Listerine, we'd have heard you hollering all the way from "Jersey". :)

Last night, around 8:30 PM my dentist called me, to see how I was feeling. I always said he is the #1 Dentist ! He has a super light touch, and always is concerned with the patient's comfort.

Today, it really hurts. The roof of the mouth, where the stitches are. I am sick of eating the same slop. I am missing 5 teeth, the top, front 5, directly under the nose. So.... I have no way to bite anything. I can chew good in the back (left or right sides) but can't bite off anything. So, my diet thru August, ('Ya,4.5 months :( ) so far has been:
Ice Cream
liquids
cottage cheese
torn into little pieces > American Sliced cheese
Applesauce
Scrambled Eggs
French Toast cut into tiny pieces
Soup Soup and More Soup
Chopped Liver
Tuna Fish
Hot Cereal like Cream of Wheat or Oatmeal
Mashed potatoes
eggsalad

I think that pretty much covers the list. Dr. had made up for me a partial (that's 5 false teeth, more or less on a serving fork)
But I hate it! It wiggles around when you are trying to eat and feels like a Greyhound Bus in ya mouth. Horrible.

When I go "out" I try hard not to smile. Unless I smile, it can't be seen that I have no teeth in front.

But $8,000 later, and in another 4 to 5 months, I will have beautiful white teeth that do not come out and are actually part of me.

The pain in the dentist office chair is at best, slight. It's when the novacaine wear off, and you are at home or whereever that the pain is terrific and unbearable. I just go to sleep to avoid dealing with it. I really want to get out all the cars, this season.

My 1st car show is THE BIGGIE. I MUST BE THERE ! It's the Sunday AFTER Mother's Day. May 20th.

Part 2 of this (and the last part) is set for April 30. I have 3 weeks to feel better, but it's the damn stitches on the mouth's roof that kill.

I saw a 7-UP Emerald Green & White Mustang 'Vert last night. Well worn, sadly. Some rust, too. Torn roof. the usual stuff......

WOW Sandy, that doesn't sound like any fun, I feel bad that you are having to go through all this, but in the end it sounds like it will be worth it to have the new teeth. Stay positive and keep remembering the end result will be worth all the pain.

'Ya, thats what I keep telling myself. I've also learned that while I never thought that I was vain, nor had any vanity regarding self, that in fact.... I am & I do!

I need to get the coupe outta hibernation, get oil change, oil filter, check air in tires, check anti freeze and rear end differential fluid and any & all othe r fluids and get that muffler installed and by THAT time, she will have had a couple of decent rides. Then do the same (muffler excluded) with the Silver Anniversary 'Vert.
The Blue 'Vert had it all last year, in October, so she's not due. Likewise the Sixty Special last year in October, so she's okay.

Wednesday June 6th I have a big local show. Caddy goes to that one. She's actually got fans who ask for her, if she's not there.
Kinda funny.

Of all the Doctors I've visited in my life, he is by far the nicest person who was also a Dr. that I've ever known. A person feels like he is a personal friend who just also happens to be a dentist.
