I was just looking around web sites at cars and on www.ponytrader.com
on page 4 I think is an odd ad. One of a kind custom mustang convertible. No Top just a tonneau it says. Advertized as a 2 seater only? Toledo, Ohio and I don't know if the ad is current.

It's not a McLaren, as one can view the external trunk hinges, which was not classy. A McLaren is Classy.
These places really anger me. They always list SALEEN, STEEDA, ROUCH, and others and NEVER ascMcLaren or just McLaren ....NEVER !!
No damn recognition, ever. I guess it's because our cars are too classy for their average High School Junior.
The guy that owns a sneaker store in the center of my town, just came home with THE most expensive Mercedes Benz money can buy. He waited 4 months & 2 weeks & 4 days for it ! MSRLP is $198.295.00
An AMG 65 SL 600 2-Seat hardtop convertible, aluminum power folding top. I copied down the entire window sticker I was so impressed. He ordered (on purpose) every option they have, from the factory. It will now sit in the public parking lot in town, 10 hours a day.
2007 Mercedes Benz SL65 AMG V12 Twin Turbo Hardtop Convertible $ 189,375.00
Panorama Roof $ 1,920.00
Mystic White Designo Edition $ 7,000.00
Total $198,295.00
Geezzzz.

Ya, Paris Hilton had one. I meant to say the most expensive one other than that one. It's hard to recall a car I've never actually seen. I've seen more Zimmers than I have seen of that Benz you mention.
There's a section of homes 4 to 5 miles from us. It's called Bel-Air Estates. Nothing is under 4 Million dollars. You go thru there and you'll see nothing earth shattering, car-wise. Jags, Beemers, Benz 5 & 6 series, a few Town Cars & Caddys and a few ChryCo 300C and Audi A8s, a VW Phaeton or two and more recently the entry level Bentley Sedan. (I saw 2 - an Olive Green one & a Navy Blue one).
But no real fancy poke ya eyes out. This Benz from the guy with the sneaker store is the 1st AMG 6 Series I ever saw.

I love cars, but there is nothing exceptional enough about that car that would ALLOW me to pay 200K for it.
Actually, if you've ever driven one (I have), they're an exercise in utter electronic frustration. 700 odd ft/lbs of torque and you NEVER get it all to the ground. I'd be pissed if I spent all that money and a WRX beats me across the light.
YEAH! YEAH! I know thats not what the car is made for. But I'm a Hot Rodder and drag racer at heart. To me, ANYTHING with 700 ft/lbs of torque and weighs less than 5000 lbs is a Hot Rod and should expect to be treated accordingly.
