Wow. I wish I could get that. Its the year and color I like too.

Too bad I'm relegated to only toy.

Crap and its the only manual tranny car of that color for 86. Double Crap.

Wow. That McLaren looks great, and I have to admit that I am not normally a fan of blue cars.

It had better sell for a fair amount more than I paid for my 17,000 mile car, or I will be hacked. Judging from the difference in appearance between the two, the original owner of my car left it out in the sun for the first ten years of its life, while this blue one has been properly garaged since day one.

One of 12, the rare & optional "Ground effects package" with foggies, 5-Speed Manual, 12,600 miles, original top. This one's too good to be true, but it looks 100% legit to me!! Somebody.....please buy it, and end my pain. :( There are very very few like it and THIS rare ! This was part of a group of 37 Spring (1986) "Feature Cars" ~ 12 in Paris Blue Metallic, 11 in Atlantic Blue Metallic and 14 in Platinum Silver Metallic. The Atlantic was available with the Sand Beige OR Regatta Blue Interior and either the Tan or the Atlantic Blue Roof, while the Paris Blue came with the Atlantic Blue Roof & Regatta Blue interior and the Platinum Silver came with a black top and Dark Charcoal Interior, or the Atlantic Blue Roof and Regatta Blue interior.
I have no breakout as to transmissions. The only thing I see missing on this example, is the wood trim piece that encircled the stereo. Hank has 'em. #60 of 245 looks very very good. It even has the optional Radar Detector. Note: he calls is a Bell, but it's a Whistler, even says so on it!! Mike, THAT IS THE STEREO THAT THEY CAME WITH !!! CAN YOU IDENTIFY the brand/model ??????

I also see the lack of the cig lighter (no biggie).

I don't think you could use a wood grained panel for that radio.

The wood grained panel would be for the post style radios which would require a "finishing" plate of some kind to mount the radio.

The only brochure I have is for the 85's and it shows the post style radio. I looked and cannot find any pictures of an 85 or 86 WITHOUT a post style radio and with the wood grain.

I don't see any way for a wood grain panel to be mounted unless it is stuck to the bumpy dash grain. If that is the case then I can understand why it would fall off.

On Hank's site, the wood grain replacement he shows is for the post style radio and would not work with the newer DIN style radio.

I've seen many this style. The wood isan excellent match, too good to not have been original. It's not the same stereo however......

Do you know of a pic of a car with the stock Ford radio? Those radios have face plates which go overtop of the dash and allow the addition of the wood grain panel to be sandwiched in between. The stock For radio goes in from the back of the dash and has no such faceplate. I'll take your word for it but I still don't quite see how any kind of woodgrain panel would attach for the stock Ford radio.
