1988 "Bowling Shoe" Mclaren

Post by CHAZ »

From Sandy's descriptions of the car in the past I don't think this is it----- BUT IT SHOULD BE.

Dear lord. I can't imagine why anyone would think that was a good idea.

I love the non-description.

I guess the picture is all you need.

The Bowling Shoe" car was red, where this car is Red AND Silver, and the part ABOVE the silver was black. Black = Trunk Lid, upper 2" of body side, "A" pillers & hood down to top of bumper. Roof = black - Interior = Red. I have never heard any more about it. It's probably long gone...

WTF!

Someone wanted their car painted and just told the paint shop to use the paint left over from 3 different other cars being painted........

I would really like to see some of those insanely rare asc's.....the bowling shoe and the red/white/blue car........

Listen-

Maybe he lives in a rough part of town and wants to make sure nobody steals his rig.

Nobody in their right mind would be seen driving that ugly bastard, not even a thief!

And where would a theif hide that thing?

Won't exaclty camoflauge......

You've got to be kidding me. What is up with that paint job? I think the idea of paint left over is right on. Think of the labor hours it took to apply that paint job...someone has WAY too much time on their hands.

The Red, White & Blue car was purchased by a New England College, for parades & football games, and homecoming queen duty. I cannot recall which college or university it was.
Car was Keweenau White, with Scarlet Interior and an Atlantic Blue Top.
