Looks pretty sad but not many of these are around anymore. I thought I was the only one with a factory 85 sunroof but apparently not!

Notice there is no pic shown of the radiator support. Looked like battery acid rot happening at both corners of the support.
I inquired about this car 3 times in the last six months. First time they told me 7K. After all I saw all the pics, I realized quickly its a $1500 car.
While I won't tell anyone what this car is worth to them, I know it wasn't worth the buy in price for me, as it still needs a lot of work to get back in the shape it should be in.

It's all about the body.
If it is a solid body, all the rest can be fixed/replaced. But if it's hiding rot, the value drops very very quickly.
IMHO...with rot it's a $1500 car tops. Without $2500 to $3000. Maybe $3500 TOPS if the moonroof is original.

I have to agree, it's not ALL THAT bad!
Seats are good, hatch, too. Lots of stuff is okay. But....
Pop Up SUN ROOFS are not all that rare! On my listing, I
must have close to a dozen ! Rare is an '86 with Automatic.
Rare is an '85 with Power Door Locks. Rare is a Smoke Charcoal
example (like mine) BUT with not Orange decals, logos & striping
BUT with the Silver Metallic decals, logos & striping.
Rare is a Black one, with the Popsicle Orange decals,
logos & striping AND rims to match.

asc pics...
here are the two pics that didn't thrill me and made me a little suspect... the guy also told me all the pieces were cracked in various spots, the most discerning seemed to be the front spoiler.... also the front floors do have the typical rust starting, but didn't seem overly bad. I never got interior pics from what I remember.
I would have gladly paid 3500 to the guy and even offered that but it was declined.

well it would certainly require a front clip I'd think, or do you disagree?
floors looked very good except for the forward rust spots that spanned about an area maybe a foot wide each side and only about 4 or 5 inches?
perhaps I missed a deal then??
given the guy told me all the specific ground effects were damaged, I could easily see this car going into the 12K + range once finished.
Had all the effects been intact, I would have likely bit.
