BTW with the way the car looks in those pics the car has the original hose clamps and hoses. You can also see the original air horn.

That rust is odd it appears that the front may have already been replaced. Often welded area's will rust if not treated properly during welding and prep for paint.

I'd go $3,500 - $4,000 on that tops but would be sure to check the frame rails before bidding.

I checked my listing. I have more 1985s with Sun Roofs than I have 1985s with power locks, whose number is 6 - outta 39 or 15 % - 9 with manual pop up sun roofs, or - to date - or 2.3 %

Well, I stopped looking for an ASC after I located a capri from california that I was getting shipped to NY to restore....

En-route last night outside Reno, the car got severely damaged in shipping as it was the lead car on the carrier sitting backwards and it seems the hatch open and it bent the hatch so far back it buckled the roof and broke the sunroof glass. (I put pics on FEP, same username).

I spoke with the shipper this morning who is calling his insurance on Monday to report this and start the claim process. He said the plastic piece on the hatch lock must have been worn away as there is nothing left there from what he said. He stated about his "disclaimers" on his bill of lading but I promptly said "there is nothing on there about doors or locks failing". We calmly discussed it and agreed to speak again on Monday.

So, I may be looking for a Capri again after all, and if I am, maybe I will contact this guy with this car again and see what I can work out since he was fairly close and only several hours away in PA.

I am pretty bummed now that a car I was going to save may end up at the scrapper because of the roof and hatch damage.

If I had to sell mine what would it be worth? I have all original parts for it plus the upgrades.
