WAIT....
Yes, it's looong (but, it's very good!) IF you do not want to read the whole thing, looking to the left, at the pics, scan down to theWHITE CAMARO CONVERTIBLE, and read beginning there, down to along side the Marlboro GMC Syclone Red truck.

I have NO idea who wrote this....article !!!

Sandy whats the deal with the pink ASC McLaren Capri? Was it a Mary Kay special? Question

No, it was a regular color selection for 1990. It was called "Coral Red".
Although the word "Red" followed the word "Coral" ~ it was more "pink" th an it was "Red". Well, actually it WAS Coral. It had nothing to do with the cosmetic company.
One was ordered. Sadly, it was built with Opal Grey interior & a Black roof, both of which did little for it. It should have been with the Oxford White interior & the white roof. It also had a very high content of metallic in it - equal to that of a Cadillac Firemist paint.

BTW, It was not a CAPRI, it was a 1990 ascMcLaren MUSTANG

HERE is its picture...............

No, it's not. Henry Huisman has the car, now for a while. I think he knows which is which. Cameras have a hard time with in-between shades.

Try this: Go to google. put in Japanese market nissan cube van.

perhaps add coral red. THAT is where the color came from !!!

Not, as Henry says a Porsche. Porchce HAD a color called Coral Red.
But only the name is the same. The color came from Japan on the Japanese market CUBE VAN

I am very very tired!
I just returned from a 10 minute trip to Japan. I landed at a used car lot & FOUND an ultra rare Nissan CUBE. Looks like a Ford Flex in 50% shrinkage.

Here for your enjoyment is CORAL RED ! (and...yes, this IS WHERE ascMcLaren got the color from) NOT PORSCHE

Please, please...save this picture. Not flying there again !!!!

By the way, car was in the shade!! SEE THE SHADOW, under it??

The TRUE TRUE color is that horizontial bar beneath the front lower air dam, in the middle section !!!

I would say that Capri you posted is red. Not pink. Bad scan.

It's none of those. They were all red.

Yes, it's a VERY bad pic but all I have.

It very well could be a poor scan like you say, but for argument sake why wouldn't the other colors be faded in the picture as well? I've been scanning in and out of the picture to get a closer look. Granted this is a test vehicle as picture says it's an '83 and you can see the brace for the windshield that makes it look like pidgeon windows (for those that remember what they were). :puke: :shrug
