WTB Silver Directional Wheels for my 89

Post by Rainmanoly »

Well, I did it. I bought and picked up the yellow 89 on Sat, July 4th. I got to say that the car was better than advertised, and it really was love at first site.

(Sandy, cover your eyes for the next part.) Took my son out on the straight away, 75mph going from 3rd to 4th......... I will never forget the look on his face. He was glowing. What a stock little Honey! :D This is my first convertible. The way the car sounds and feels..... So awesome! Not to mention that the car is Hot Yellow, everyone stares! The wife loves the attention.

Well, I am going to keep her stock. (Although, I'd really like to redo the interior in some other color than grey. Yuck! maybe white, maybe tan, prob stock) The car's original wheels are long gone. If you guys can send me any leads, I'd be really grateful.

Thanks Scott,

I love the fact that when and if we need NOS parts, we can go to Henry. (I'm a newbee, are Henry and Hank one and the same?) But I'm looking for something a little cheaper than $1300 and the old cores.

yes hank and henry are the same guy.

89-90 wheels dont come up very often just so few made. the 84-88 wheels come up on ebay or here from time to time. a used set of 84-88 wheels should go for $100-$400 depending on condition.

I hear your concern on price Rainmanoly, but Hank does wheel and deal on occasion. The cost for a new set of wheels like these is quite reasonable when considering the quality in comparison to wheels made today (IMHO). It never hurts (or costs much) to give Hank a call or send him an email.

Nice car! I really like the color and would be inclinded to put in either black or tan interior. Enjoy...
