Blue seat belts
Anyone have a pair of blue front seat belt receivers? Or at least a pair of decent blue plastic sleeves for them?

Welcome to my world.........
I've needed those blue plastic sleeves for years, mine got brittle and broke away little by little. I searched for a while and gave up. I decided that hunting for those sleeves evidently are as difficult to find as the holy grail........
Blue interior parts are for some reason, rare. I guess they thought that no one would ever need those.

Go to www.foureyedpride.com and ask in the classifieds.
CALL www.foxmustangrestoration.com and ask for NOS ones. Ask if they can be hunted down. Don't complain at the price if he finds them.
Paint some grey ones blue. If you do it right and use good adhesion promotor after cleaning with a good strong cleaner, the blue lacquer paint for your car, should bond pretty well.
Honestly, you can find these.

Most people paint blue interiors black. There is almost zero demand for any color other than grey or black. Red and tan get a little more interest but blue is really hated by the Fox Mustang community with a passion.shelbyscarab wrote: Blue interior parts are for some reason, rare. I have tried to convince numerous people to restore their blue interiors instead of wrecking them with black paint, but it's no use. They have no ability to see how good a nicely restored blue interior can look...and how it's something you never have a chance at with today's cars.

Don't fear the lacquer paint.
A pair of grey sleeves, 1 can of paint, 1 can of adhesion promotor is not that much. If you do it correctly, the paint is very hard to chip. Even if it does, it won't show too badly with grey and can always be touched up.

wow, didn't know that blue interiors were "hated", I think they look pretty good. I agree about the popularity of gray and black interiors in todays cars and tan. I would've thought red would've ranked as the most disliked. eekkkk....negusm wrote:

It seems to go:
Black/Grey
Tan
Red
Blue
Yes, blue is HATED with a passion. The problem is that it looks like total ass when it Fades even a small bit...and after 25 years, they all have some fade.
But a freshly restored blue interior is KING.
Red gets a pass because of the GT350s. I think enough of them have been restored so that people have some idea on how great a red interior looks. However, many spray bomb red as well.
Tan interiors seem to survive. Kids don't mind that color and people hunt them out for their rarity.
