Absolutely no desire for one.
I'd take the $225,000.00 and buy another 2-family house
and get a $3,000 @ month income, of which i'd be sending $2,300 of it to the town for property taxes, but the house would appreciate and the car would not.

They're are incredible cars though. I guess it's all relative. If I were worth say $20 Mil. I'd have no prob. purchasing 1.

Ha Ha ~ If I had ONLY 2 million, I'd buy a Bentley Drop Head Coupe, AND another2-Family house, I'd sell my 1993 Cadillac (10 thou. miles) and keep my Town Car (2003 - 10 Thou miles, also) and keep my McLarens. IF my wife wanted a new Jeep, I'd buy that for her - whatever she wanted in the Jeep. I'd gdonate fifty thou to the hospital I go to and the rest would go into banks.

My entire immediate family, extended family & extended extended family all escaped with the clothes on their back. laying flat on the floor of a German garbage truck, with 100s of pounds of garbage on top of them being carted "to the dumps" to be "dumped" - in Nazi Germany,
but surprise....they were dumped in Poland, as it was all a ruse, as the driver, a German....was also as Jew. They made their way to "The States" and survived. Broken - but alive...
They had the numbers tatooed on thier arms and went for skin grafts to remove them, but ..... the torture, could never be removed from their minds.
In my mind, I cannot remove what they couldn't 4-get. so....the fact that Mercedes-Benz & BMW & VW & Porsche aided and abetted those to do what they did, I have a strong repulse to any corporations who aided those monesters. As for me, they can keep their cars, but I do respect that you - not living through that time in Germany through the thoughts of your folks, the tears in remembrance, that I witnessed and the pain of skin grafts that people went through, etc., rtc., I would not expect you to share in the feelings that I have.
Germany today is fine and people of German decent (I am one!!) I like & admire. It's the corporations that aided the monesters under Hitler, that we avoid. I hope WE BOTH hit the lottery, but.......down deep, we know not to bet on it.
(My Dad had a 1/3rd interest in a Chrysler-Plymouth store (where Sandy worked for a couple years) and therefore my parents & extended family mostly drove Imperials. We always had 2. I loved those Imperials.

Can't bring myself to buy a German nor a japanese car. Our family lost relatives in WW2 and I haven't forgotten the horrors of the treatment of US POW's in German and Japanese hands.

My Dad landed in France on D-Day. Came back a drunk and drank himself to death. Never could bring himself to talk about what went on in June 1944 and the succesive months. He was a tank commander. He was dead by 1953. I still have his 'Ruptured Duck' and the items from his uniform, patches, unit etc.

I also remember going to bed hungry many nights during WW2.

Guess that's why I drive American branded cars. Loyalty to America and the Greatest Generation of Americans ever born.
