Door Tention Check Arm (Door Stop)

Post by CSMESP »

Help!! I want to replace the door stop on the driverside, (87 McLaren) is there a short cut to getting to the hinges or do I have to pull the fender. Also on the passenger side, my window seems to have shifted forward and I have about an inch gap that appeared. Is there an adjustment on the regulator ?? Thanks for any help .. CSMESP

you can get to the bolts through the wheel well once you pull out the plastic.

You'll most likely need to remove the fender to really get to it...

Ok...it comes down to if you'd like to really align your door right...or unless we are talking about a different door stop/spring, on the lower hinge or the door catch?

I've seen these bolted and or bolted/spot welded (the spring). like in the image below.

An overall pic of the door hinge location with the fender off...on the other toy I'm building 88' coupe for open tracking.
