I had a meeting with ASC in Warren Michigan just 8 weeks ago. They are still building custom tops for the Ford Motor, Chrysler and some GM work. I did tour the front office with the Lead Engineer and Purchasing.

Yes! ASC is still strong and there location is right in the middle of all the car companies. 6115 13 mile road Warren Michigan.

ASC has many locations in the US. The main office is in Warren Michigan and there are also a lot of manufacturing /conversion plants through out the
United states.

Hi Sandy - I hate to break this to you, but Westinghouse did shut down. It went under and sold off most of the divisions to various companies like Bechtel, Cutler-Hammer, Curtis-Wright, Emerson, etc. The only company really carrying the name now is the nuclear division, but itis owned by Toshiba. And any appliances you see with the circle W on it is a screw up made by the corporation years ago. They sold the appliance division but forgot to limit the use of the name. And the light bulbs went to Sylvania. So techincally, nothing is made by Westinghouse any more. Nadda.

I know this first hand. Worked there twice, once in the 70's , once in the 80's right before they went under. Lost my **S on stock options - bought for about $55, sold for $17 a share. I did manage to salvage my paultry pension though. They employed about 25,000 people here in Pittsburgh and about 100,000 worldwide at the peak. Their credit division was the culprit for the disaster. Got caught in the credit/savings & loan mess in the 80's. That and bad management.
