Got Gold At MCA Grand National

Post by CocoLoco »

Hi all. For all those on the Facebook group, you already know all this. So excuse my repeating.

I took my just completed 1990 Seafoam Aqua ascMclaren for it's first show to the MCA Buckeye Grand National show in Columbus this past weekend. I purchased the car in upstate New York this spring and spent the summer getting it into show condition.

All the work paid off - I got Gold Award in the 79-93 Occasional Driven class. The judges were very nice and asked a lot about the car. I told them right up front that this was no ordinary Fox body Mustang. They agreed and said they have seen them but not judged them before.

One other thing that might have helped a little is that the "scribe" (a new judge) had been at our club's car show in Pittsburgh and one other event where I had met her. She told the other judges that I also had a nice Capri version as well. It was nice that they acknowledged how rare and special these cars are.

I'll try to post up some pictures later this week.

Congrats Dwight! Your '90 does look great. From the pictures, your Capri looks great as well.

Awesome work. How about posting some pics of your car in an album so we can see the final car.
