Pretty sure the Conv. all got 225-60-15 where the Coupes got 225-50-15 for a little more pickup off the line.

Choices are limited for both sizes. Most will have to be ordered.

I just had BF Goodrich Advantage T/A 225-60-15's put on my '86 a couple of months ago. Reasonably priced and my shop was able to install the day after I ordered them, so should be easy to get. A good all weather tire, ride nice and not too noisy with the top down. I drive the car almost daily so I was looking for something that could handle all conditions and last longer than expensive performance tires.

Good luck!

Stock tire size on a 1987 is 225/60/15. I'm using Kuhmo's on my '87. Price was right, they wear well and aren't too noisy.

I too put the BF Goodrich Advantage T/A 225-60-15's on my 1990 last summer. White letters in of course.

I think (but am not sure) Gatorbacks may have come on the car originally. These are still available but are about $300 each. A little too pricy for me.

Tires

There are not many choices these days on good tires. I went with Falken 912 tires. While they do not look impressive, they seem to perform well. Beware, if the tire you are looking at is out of stock, its been discontinued.
