Yes, once upon a time, in a land far far away, THAT was a stock 1983 Crimson Cat, that was adopted by a non~appreciating family, who by the way I see has now adopted a replacement yellow Monte Carlo SS.

I just hope that someone willing to put in the time and effort to "fix" it ends up with that car.

Seriously, I think she is too far gone, if not work-wise nor part-wise, certainly cost prohibitive, yes (??)

If you want a V8 CC, there are other ones waiting for a good home at FEP. Its sad none of these cars ever get restored.

There are boatloads of rare Capris out there. Most are available for chump change. Someday they will all be crushed and gone.

Ok, here's the plan. First, all of you guys need to move to North Texas. Next, we get together and build a 100,000 sq. ft. facility (nah, let's dream big and make it 200,000 sq. ft.) in which to restore and maintain a fleet of the many rare Capris that are out there.

Once everything is up and running, we will create a museum that we will have open six days a year, which will more than suffice to meet the demands of the handful of people in the world (aside from us) who actually appreciate these cars.

Who's with me?

Though the abundance of well-preserved, inexpensive cars is tempting, we can't risk losing the collection to an earthquake or mudslide.

I saved it from the dumb owner. although not original, i`ll try to help her.

This is how my story begins. back in 1991 I purchased a black capri with gold stripes and a "cougar" head on the fender. it was mint except for the noise from the tranny. Eventually the 4-speed craped the bed. apparrently the noise was the transmission being dry. snapped the input shaft in half. I was 17 didn`t know any better.

so I go to school to become a body man. learn the trade, get a job.

put a decent stereo in her. one 15" sub with two 10" subs. it was loud. I go to the movies with a girlfriend to come out to the hatch all prided open. you know the rest of that.

so i`m trying to find a hatch for it so my pops finds a wrecked 90 GT. I go to look at it and it had a tree in the engine compartment, but the hatch and ground effect are perfect(see where this disaster is going). so I basicly turn it into a 1990 mustang gt, complete with quater glass.

later down the road I see a black magic in a mustang mag saying there were only like 450 made. :( . but I saved all the parts thankfully. it needs ton of work as of right now, but a fellow foreyed may buy it.

now I can save this c.c. from that same fate. I just need the front seats, the wheels and a four banger.(great gas mileage)
