You do realize that cars bring considerably LESS money on
e-bay than they would on a dealer's lot, with a guarantee,
or in a private sale person's driveway. This is true. When
people cannot see, feel, touch & smell the "emotion"
factor is not present. Furthermore, the buyer has the
transportation factor (cost) to also pay, and moreover
there is always the fear of a hidden problem that the
seller has hidden or that the car has other defects, that
ultimately will cost the buyer. THEREFORE buyers are
very cautious. I would say on this Capri, whatever it sells
for (assuming it sells!!) that you could add at least 30-
percent to THAT price, if the buyer could see & touch & drive it.

I agree with Sandy. Cars like this deserve the money but need to be sold face to face to get it.

From the stories I have heard, this car is better than new, better than even Sandy's!

So how do you convery that through an ebay ad?

I agree to a point, but I have also known individuals personally whom
have sold/bought through Ebay after investing in a trip to see and feel
the vehicle. Hell, it is free advertizing through out the world and a real
car fanatic wanting that truely unique and prestine vehicle will travel in
excess of 2500 miles to check out the offer. It happems all the time!

This is why many times the vehicle is pulled from auction or never meets
reserve. Side deals can and are done even though it might be against
Ebay policy. Tough to police the world...

Car is real nice...I know the previous owner...

It was just on Ebay last week...final bid was 8300 I believe. Car was sold 3 years ago for 13,000 to the guy selling it now...

As nice as everything else is about the car, I just can't get past the color and the wheels, of which I am not a fan. Does this make me a bad person, or just a nut case?

I'm not a big fan of the Weld wheels either...When the car was featured in MM&FF years ago it had a set of neat Ford styled steel wheels (Rally wheels per-say)...and I liked them alot better. Just my .02.

Really Robert?

I don't know what it is about that color combo but I very much like that color (Medium Canyon Red) over the charcoal bottom.
My Cougar is that color:

and I have a 2002 Explorer XLT that is also that same color combo.

I get weak in the knees when it comes to that combo for some reason.

Hey Brent, you and me too!
I really like the color combo on this car, but then my wife drives a 1998
Mustang GT in Lazer Red, which I consider a close match to the canyon
red. Not he same guys, I know, but similar! I like this much better than
the stark red or orange colors, but this is just my preference and not a
judgemental call on red, to each their own...

Scott,

The Laser Red on the late model Mustangs is a favorite of mine as well.
In the two pictures of the Explorer & the Cougar they look like a different shade but in person with the two parked next to each other it's almost a dead-on exact match.

I agree though, to each his own, and I didn't mean any disrespect to you Robert, after I re-read my post it sounded a little bit that way.

Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and that is why there are more than one color to choose from right?

Thats why manufactures offer diffrent colors because peoples preffrences are diffrent but i actually like that car that is a nice one and it being canyon red really sets it off!
