I want to install the back wing.

Anyone, have detail pic's of the hatch with the wing removed ?
Specifcally, where the bolts come threw the hatch. Also where
the spoiler sits up on the window.
I also notice that it looks like i have to cut the
side window moulding shorter.
Any help or advice appreciated.
I have a rear hatch that had a spoiler mounted on it from ASC, I will take some pictures for you and post them. The mouldings are not cut, there are 2 clips ( one on each side) that slide up on the moulding and hold the leading edge of spoiler in place. I will post some pictures of the clips too.

The sides moulding does NOT need to be shorten ?
....it looks like the wing side's and clips are mounted up higher
on the trim. (Then the original moulding was attached.)
If you scroll to about the middle, there are two pics showing the mounting locations inside and outside.
You make 4 holes directly under where the old oem thin Ford moulding would go. Then make some access holes inside the hatch...I think there were four also. Then place and bolt the wing down. The clips simply clip over the old moulding and I don't think you need to cut it....but am not 100% sure.
Contact ROBSTANG at FEP he has a complete template for the installation of the repro wing which is a near exact copy of the original. Get a copy of that.

I was looking for that link ! The pics help alot .
Especially, the interior hatch shots..Now, i see what you mean
about looseing the bolts inside between the hatch. That why
the holes are larger. The bolts are inside between. Right ?

Well, the wing is on !
and I didn't have to cut the side moulding.
But, now my hatch won't stay up and my back is killing me.

One thing I notice from the pic's. Mike's 85 hatch compared to my 86
hatch is a little different. The metal lip at the glass rolls away from the window not towards like it appears on the 85.?

Yeah, post a pic....I don't see how it could be different. I have an 86 hatch up in NY and I think the glass swapped over perfectly. If I understand what you are saying, that would mean the interior panels would be different too for the hatch....which I don't know why Ford would go to all that trouble for a redesign unless the third light needed that much extra room.

The tape shows which way the lip bends.
I think its an angle thing. To me, yours looks the same as mine.
