Has anyone tried these moulding paints?

Post by mandra »

I found this on the web. Need to buy for my "New" 86. The body color thing is killing me. Looks great on the vert but crummy on the hatchback!

The white taillights are coming off this weekend as are the white headlight surrounds and the grill too!

'85-'86 Exterior Trim Paint
Gray:
SEM Dark Charcoal #39153
Marhyde 3821
Duplicolor Dark Charcoal Bumper Paint #FB-109
PPG/Ditzler code #33717

I promise to put up some pictures of this beast when I see daylight! You guys won't believe it. I swear this guy must have bought a Honda and put a full body kit on it after butchering this car...

The SEM Dark Charcoal looks pretty close.

I have a little MArhyde that I will try soon to see if it is better.

The Duplicolor is not as close as the SEM DC.

PPG 33717 is what you use if an autobody shop needs it...however, it won't be the code they need to make it satin.

If the Marhyde is the stuff that I've used it's awesome...perfect match...:)
I used it to paint the dash and drivers side a-pillar gauge pod...
