No. No 85-86 asc coupe came with a true leather boot.Kyle wrote:is that leather boot correct for the asc's?
They came with the Ford faux leather one.
I do not know about the verts.
This boot looks close to the oem style, that is why I got it....cause I want a leather boot and an SVO leather wrapped handle to go with the leather steering wheel.

I had it backwards, I thought the coupes came with the leather, not the rubberish one. They did come with the leather shift knob and steering wheel though didn't they?

Yes. Leather knob and wheel. Why they didn't do a leather shift boot and e-brake handle like the SVO...I'll never know. But hey! WE got a RADAR DETECTOR!Kyle wrote:I had it backwards, I thought the coupes came with the leather, not the rubberish one. SO I have an SVO leather wrapped handle and a leather boot to go on. Of course I have a NOS rubber boot and another near perfect e-brake handle in my boxes somewhere....just in case I feel guilty.

I think I still might try for the leather, I don't like the rubber boot. I will save it though just in case

Didn't asc replace the boot on the verts since the whole console is different?ponydude wrote:My 85 Flooded Vert has a leather shifter boot, complete with leather drawstring.
On the coupes I think they didn't touch the console...that's why everybody has the factory boot.

well I was going to try and get the NOS turn signals but they went way out of my price range
I found a fairly nice set in a junkyard a while back, now I'll have to keep a look out for them.
