i just wanted to say hi. when i saw my first asc mclaren coupe (capri) i knew i had to get one.well i was on FEP and saw a link for this site.at the moment i do not own an asc but i would love to get one of the blue coupes w/popsicle orange stripes. i do own an 86 capri (just a shell at the moment). i also own a 86 svo (black). well i just wanted to say hello and i'll be watching for one of those coupes......paul

BTW, you were finally able to get registered?

I made a change for somebody else. Seems like AOL is kind of finicky....maybe it helped you too.

Weird that nobody said anything until now and now 2 people complained.

Hi Paul, glad you found us. There was a blue and orange ASC coupe on Ebay recently. You should post some pics of your Capri and SVO in your photo album I am sure people would like to see them. Take care.

i posted pics of the svo.the capri is a basket case as of right now. i'm curious would it offend the asc crowd if i made a clone? please don't chop my head off .if its frowned apon i understand.believe me its hard enough maintaining and finding parts for my svo.but i would only use repro parts not originals as i am sure they are hard to find for the asc's as well.

SVO looks really nice. I noticed the front and rear bodyside molding accented grey on the black exterior, did you do that yourself? Also Cobra wheels, do you have the originals as well? Sweet ride!

thanks for the kind words. as for the body moldings they are silver and i recieved the car that way. i do have my factory wheels. i just sold the 97 cobra wheels that are on it in the pics. i am currently running cobra 10th anniv. wheels . ...................paul

The problem with making a clone is it would be far cheaper to find an original with most of the parts than to buy all the parts from Hank.

My 85 cost me $6,500 back in 1990 with 46,000 miles, the white 86 was $1,500 just last week. Add in $600 dor shipping and the rest of the work the car needs and I will be $10,000 in it easy along with about 1,000 hours work if I do it all myself.
