NOS Mclaren Capri Front Air Dam

Post by ponydude »

Sandy, my oldest son said the same thing. I will be prepared, in due time. He asked if it could be verifised. 1985, from what I have seen, NO. It doesn't matter, the COOL factor kicks in. The car is so original that I will have to do certain things.

Okay. More power to 'ya. If I come across anyone with the other parts, I'll send them your way. :)

84-86 McLaren Air Dam

Post by ponydude »

Received the air dam today. After looking at it and weighing the alternatives, I decided it should go on the 85 RS (with GS front cover).
The big question is: how were they attached at ASC. The fit seems perfect, but attachment is the question. Can anyone help me?
Thanks to all.

They look better printed out.

Do you have the finishing strips?

Edit: And are you going to get foglights for it?

Thanks a bunch, Mike. That's exactly what I needed. I don't have the finishing strips, yet. Does Hank have them? And I plan on putting foglights in it. Which kind did they use?
Thanks again.

Yes, hank has the strips. The foglights are Hellas. I think Hank has those too for $300....or get the amber ones for $150.

Do a search on Hella lights, they came on SAABs and BMWs way back when and you can get a pair of the clear ones for $150 or so from an online Saab parts dealer I think.
