If you wanted a V8 with an auto in a Mustang in 82, you got a 255 instead of a 302. Didn't the Capri have the same option? Not that a 120hp V8 was much of an option.

I went to the Mustang GT Registry to check out some stats on this and the way they word it is quite peculiar to me. They speak of the 4.2L 255 engine as an optional motor itself that only came in automatic. Tricky way of saying what you had lol.

Really not sure what she's worth. To a car dealer probably average wholesale or at the very most the amount that 9 out of 10 banks will finance for the average customer. I know that's not much help, but when they are 23 or so years old, alot of it is what a buyer will actually pay. If insurred via regular coverage ~ & it became a total loss, you'd be lucky to recoup $1,000. So, allthough that's not much help, it really is worth what just one buyer will pay for it. If you are buying it to re-sell for a profit....DON'T !!!! If you lie it, would enjoy driving it, owning it or just (like me) looking at at, then buy it! None of us can take the $$$ with us in the end.

That really bites. How could this scammer really gain anything by doing this? All he is going to do is waste a prospective buyers time, unless he is simply planning on robbing anyone who comes to see the car. Some people just have way too much time on their hands.

Try my link you had a little extra stuff on your reply. You will see CL already pulled the post but in short scammer was tring to get 2900 for the little nugget same photos and description same 82 Black Capri that stated this trend. Most likley scammer was trying the shipping scam trying to extract deposit!
