On OEM Form & Wheels

I too, hate over modification of our cars. However, I do think that as time goes on and technology improves that there is room to do a few things as long as they are tasteful and classy. Namely our brakes (2003 Mach 1 upgrades), six speed transmissions and the like. No serious modifications to the interior or exterior, mainly horsepower, suspension, maybe wheels. I have noticed that in the era of RESTOMODDING that when your changes compliment the vehicle and are done properly, it doesnt take away from the vehicle. Honestly, I like the improvements FORD has made over the years with their wheel selection and so forth, there are other wheels that look nice and that are asymmetrical to our cars. I am not one for the cheap looking wheels. I like quality such as the old school BBS Wheel, the Enkeis on the gentleman's yellow car and I really like the SSR GT3's wheels on our cars. Saleens have us beat in the horsepower department. I love these cars and have admired them since I was 14 and have owned 4 of them. It is my favorite car of all time! With that said, what's wrong with some horsepower under our hoods, some additional handling, and the capable stopping of 13" brakes?

There is nothing wrong with it. However "Bone-Stock" mint cars -VS- Mint "Close-to-Stock" with improved upgrades selling to a die hard individual - the Bone-Stock (period) car will bring more $$$ every time, assuming all OTHER things are equal. Compare to artwork, coins, painos, etc.....Restorer is good, too, but likewise, original as new, will also bring top bucks.

If a car is in good condition and still stock imo it would be a sin to modify it at this point and time. However if it looks like the body wore out 3 motors already its open to interpretation.
The SSR GT3's are really nice wheels but would look silly with rear drums or small rotors with all that space exposed inside.
