One guy tried the 69-73 Mustang seal:

Maybe its best to wait for some repros. They WILL come. If ALL of them have disintegrated, a small, easy to make part will be reproduced.

'Ya, I'd rather wait, too. I just hope it DOES happen! Hank is working on it, or so he says. Tomorrow, I am going to try & order it at Wyman Ford. 10-to-one it comes in withOUT the seal, which melted away years ago. At least, I am in good company over this......

Talk about a mess. I had one I bought from a dealer for my old automatic and never used. It desintegrated on a shelf in a box!

If you haven't thrown it out, do you think you could "donate" that part to Matt so he could get repros done?:

Sure can! I didn't toss it as it is attached to my NOS E43Z-18519-A bags and I didn't want to rip the bag by just tearing it off.

So you mean to shoot him an e-mail or can you just shoot me the address?

Send him an email. Maybe you can get a free repro out of the deal. Worth a shot? Right?

He's supposedly got a few items being made. For one, the 85-86 heater HVAC cable is getting made by him....so look for that soon.

Okay I shot off an e-mail.

The HVAC cable is problematic? I have never had that problem. Now the heater core on the other hand

They can get rusty. Mine used to be really tight.

No word.

I would call 50Resto and other vendors and voice your need for the item.
