I'm just bitter because they messed up my car.ASCMCLRN wrote:In all fairness wouldnt that be true with any shipping company???75coug wrote:Based upon my recent experience with DAS, I would strongly recommend against using them unless you pay the extra for the insurance. Otherwise, if they mess up your car, their liability is limited to $150.00.

Sandy would you really repaint it to gold? Other then if its a preference of yours would it make a difference that it was repainted yellow?
Another thing that concerns me and I feel awkward even mentioning this is if God forbid anything happened to you how would anyone know the truth of the cars history? I mean when we first discovered this car we all were dumbfounded about a yellow 89 car as it wasnt to be.

I think I'll leave it yellow.... I didn't really like yellow, but the more I look at the pics, the more I like it.
Anyone have the color information so I can fix any problems it might have?
Also, I think I will sell the wheels off of the car, not my style. Anyone interested? If not, I'll Ebay them, just thought I would ask here first.
Shiny Side Up!

First, you have to find out IF she is HOT Yellow OR Dino Yellow. When she arrives, look on the inner door jams to see IF there is a SIKKENS label. If not, look on the underside of the trunk lid. 85% went there. They are paper & sometimes have fallen off. Look around the trunk's interior, carefully. Sometimes they are still on the underside of the trunk lid, but the print is barely legible. Try & read it or pick up 1,2 or 3 lettters.
I have made up a terrific paint listing. I am looking for a member herein to postal mail it to, as I have no scanner. If you'll PM me at
cigarsandy@comcast.net
with your postal address, and IF you have a scanner, I will mail you a copy, to scan on this site. This is an updated one to another one that I did years & years ago that had some errors in it. This one took me 3 months to compile. I finished it last night !
Your Yellow:
IF it's HOT Yellow it's REALLY from a European Car called "SEAT" (or The Seat) ~ I kid you not......that is why this has been such a challenge !!
Now, the paint code for that is SES1H and it was used on the Seat from 1999 thgru 2004.
IF it's the Dino Yellow, it is the 1993 Ford Mustang "Canary Yellow" Code BZ. THAT was the Mid-Year "Feature Car" - if you recall......
Either paint's mixture can be supplied at a good automotive aftermarket paint retailer, in any form you desire.
