Well, some many good points added here, and I do agree with some of your points Sandy. Perception is everything in this world.
Rather ironic, is people also thing foreign vehicles cost less, however, when they take their cars in for their 30K, 50K and 60K services, the dealers try to milk them for hundreds or thousands.
Media unfortunately caters to their advertisers. While I don't know the stats, I think it would be interesting to find out how many ads are being run by whom when the 5 and 6:00 news is on. My guess is brands like Toyotas, Hondas etc. While it's obviously not right, and our media is blatently biased, they know where their bread is buttered. When is the last time we saw an ad for a Ford Crown Vic, or anything other than a Focus, F150 or Explorer? Let alone on the 5:00 news.
a New Mustang?
That's so true as far as advertising goes American cars are lacking. I remember with the Mustang they were counting on word of mouth for some time but that only takes you so far. Now when they keep changing names of their vehicles you need more advertising then ever before.eeprete wrote:Well, some many good points added here, and I do agree with some of your points Sandy. Another thing, my '04 Maxima has a few recalls on it, two come to mind atm. One is for the seat wiring that may cause a fire. The other is the rear sub frame of the car. That kind of gets me freaked thinking about it.
