Trans/ Clutch help

Post by tfs2121 »

anyone know why the 79-85 cars use a 10" disc? does it have to do with the bell housing?

i have a 92 trans 85 bell housing and a flywheel that will suport up to a 10.5" disc

so can i use the 10.4" disc or am i stuck with the 10"

Flywheel

Peter,

The 82-85 flywheels do not have the center machined out far enough to fit the 10.5 clutch's hub. If you have a 86 or newer flywheel there will be no issues if you use the 10.5 clutch assembly in your 85.
