NOS Aircleaner lid for 1985 302 EFI

Post by Agent-J »

I am also looking for an NOS Aircleaner lid for 1985 302 EFI. Just an note all of the decals I have found are incorrect Font and kerrening. I believe the orginal was either painted or silk screened then clear coated. I would be willing to buy a complete assembly to get what I am looking for.

Thanks for you time

Not to hi-jack the thread but if someone has an original decal that I could scan I could reproduce to exact specs...

Of all the NOS air cleaners I have seen and own, the closest I ever had was the NOS CFI base.

I snarfed it from Green Sales based on the part number. The top was supposed to come with it but the sales guy at GS said it had gone missing.

I've seen and have several of the NOS 4v carbed air cleaners. Haven't see one of those come up in a good bit now either.

I'll take a look at what you have although photos won't give me a perfectly flat piece to work with so perspective might be off...

Send it over though:

Have you checked Jim Osbourne printing? They are supposed to be the guys who do all the 100% concourse correct printing for everything from Shelbys to Boss429s. They did have Fox Mustang decal kits last time I checked. If their air cleaner decal isn't right, you might be able to contact them and ask them why and if they could try and get it right.

I have an NOS 4bbl and an NOS CFI lid. You're right, they are not decals. WHile I don't want to let these out of my sight, I would be willing to trace the lettering if that will help come up with a better repop.

If it's something I'll be able to scan and "trace" into the computer by all means I'll try it...
