Deal has been made on the below
~ Sandy
I am selling an 85 Capri that I had shipped from California and had it's roof damaged in transport. With my convertible not selling and only having so much space, I have to dedicate my garage space to my 86 Capri and my 88 GT.
The roof skin will need to be hammered out or reskinned. There doesn't appear to be any frame damage underneath. It will also need some interior work done as well, including a headliner. The sunroof I picked up will need new weatherstripping.
I did a lot of legwork both in retrieving the car and also locating parts to get it fixed right. I can assist you with getting either a Capri hatch or Mustang hatch for the car as well as the roofskin, either with a sunroof or without. I have several lined up of each (roughly 100-200 per part).
The car is far from a parts car, so I will only sell it whole and to someone who will fix it. If the car was not repairable, I would have already stripped off the good and gotten rid of the bad. I'd like to see the car get saved and want someone to turn it into the Capri of their dreams.
Seeing as I am not trying to make a buck off someone, I am asking only $975 for the car (To date I have over 2K into the car, and will not be seeing anything near that amount from the insurance company, so I am simply trying to break even for all the hassles I've experienced).
Car must be picked up by buyer, or their arranged car carrier in Lynnbrook, NY (zip 11563). The car is drivable, but I have not driven it very far.
I have some pictures online at the following links:
