1985 ASC McLaren Coupe For Sale (Factory Sun Roof Car)

I have a very well preserved cared for blue and orange 1985 ASC Mclaren coupe that I'm looking to sell. The car has 55,554 original miles on it and has never been abused and is very tight. It has the factory optioned sunroof from I beleive Cars and Concepts. It has the ASC Mclaren body buck tag as well as the option code buck tag. The front frame vin number tags match as well as the engine vin. I have owned the car since 1997 and the two prior owners were my friends. The car is in excellent condition since the restoration in early 2000 and has 821 miles on it since restoration. It has received trophys in every one of our local MCA sponsored car shows. Everything has been replaced or detailed down to the nuts and bolts. The car was stripped down to the rolling shell and stripped and painted with Dupont Chroma Premier base clear and then reassembled. The reason for the restoration was that the original paint had some wear and stone chips. I have pictures of the car before, during and after restoration. The car has absolutely no rust including under doors front floorboard seams, hatch seams, etc.
The wheels were CNC faced and powdercoated orange and then powdercoated clear at a wheel repair shop. The wheels look absolutely fabulous.
During restoration I was going to clean and detail the engine but decided to have it freshened for piece of mind that the numbers matching engine was okay. I did decide to install a B303 camshaft and cast iron GT40 heads to keep it looking stock. It has its original exhaust minus the mufflers which were factory replacemnt Walkers. I kept all of the original parts. (heads cam shaft) It has every emission control item including tubing charcoal canisters, air pump, etc.
The interior is awesome and it has the original grey and grey seats. The ASC Mclaren steering wheel is in great condition. It has the hard to find power door locks, power windows, and power hatch release. THis car did not come equiped with the radar detector due to state regulations. I do not have the factory stereo system installed in the car since the head unit went bad many years ago. The rear interior panels are near perfect from scratches. It has the factory sunroof bag and tie downs in the hatch area.
I could keep going on and on about the detail. I have mostly all receipts in a three ring notebook. I have alot of money invested in the car and the reason for the sale is the purchase of a new Shelby GT500.

I added two pics to the 1985 album. A majority of my pics are too large and I would need to down size. It is very hard to see any detail.

Beautiful car ! I saw 2 or 3 little almost meaningless things thatI think might be a little "off" - but not any big deal. Overall - well, let me put it this way...
Do you lend her out, for a fee, for stud? I mean she's THE car i'd like to mate with mine. Can you imagine the off-spring ????

I have endurred a lifetime of high blood pressure, only controlled with prescription pills and the long term side effects are a genuine numbness of the bottom top-half of the left foot, so I cannot "feel" the clutch - thusly all of my Go-fast cars have been automatic tranny. SO..... I was very happy to see that yours is a manual, and that way I am not tempted to add my 4th ascMcLaren, which would bring about another problem, called being served with divorce papers!

It is killing me to consider getting rid of her but I also think of having a 500hp Shelby replacement and it almost makes it feel better. I could although change my mind.

There will ALWAYS be a car faster than a _______ fll in the blank.
A 2009 Cadillac CTS-V with 558 H.P. with a G.M. Parts over-the-counter, GM approved supercharger and some kinda GM pully assembly such type deal will mop up that Shelby, but the ascMClaren will always steal the visual show full of eye candy. I like being married, so I cannot buy nothing anymore as toys. (and) My insurance bill for the 6 cars is enough to choak a suma wrestler.
