Spectrum Radar Detector Question

I have a factory radar Det, in my '86 'vert. It use to beep when I turned it on with the key or just turned it on by pushing the power button. It does not "beep" any more! You guys have any ideas? I have also pushed the volume button and the filter button. all three lights work, but no more beep as I drive by drugstore ( front door sensors) Everything looks like its hooked up!

Tomorrow I'll check and see if it says any thing in the brochure. I'm pretty sure I have the factory brochure . I have the Recaro seat brochure too, but the center page (4 pages printed on 1 sheet) is missing. If anyone has one I'd appreciate a copy of the missing center page.

You probably have the detector set to 'City Mode.' That's the button on the far right. Press it once and go for a ride. See if the detector goes off around the door openers or intrusin alarms. City mode eliminated the constant beep-beep-beep we encounter.

Ours (Assumably) is a Whistler 500. I can't find a manual listed anywhere for this. It's not an SL 500 or and XTR 500. I've checked those. They also detect laser, which may have prevented me from getting a ticket in 2008, but I doubt it.

The manual you want is Whistler Part no. 208214/2.

I don't think I can copy the manual. It's dark print on a dark background in many of the instruction pages. It's really a small manual Only 4 pages.
