They are both the 1985 versions. The 1984 versions say MERCURY CAPRI and the cover pic of the coupe shows netting in the headrests and incorrect taillamp covers, with a license plate cover. The 1986 'Vert shows the lower level base model Capri seats, recovered in leather as standard and the Recaros as the option. Also shows the standard door panels, rather than those with the big strap/armrest setup. As far as I can figure (I don't have them all) there were 3 Coupe versions and 2 roadster versions. The 1986 'Vert shows the Ford stereo with no wood (HoRrOrS). The prior shows some stereo with the wood behind it, but I still am not sure WHAT stereo they used.

Yep, You're right, I thought "Capri" was scratched too.
