Up for grabbs is #362 of 479 Mclaren Mustangs produced in 1987. The Mclarens were originally a notchback from the factory, then altered by ASC into a 2 seater convertable, some of these altracations were, Stiffend up frame, vehicle lowered 1", there own style of asc rims and side skirts. also last but not least, a european style cloth top. Oh ya and the windsheild is actually raked to 30 degrees to incorporate a more sylish look. This is my 14th Mustang and its amazing how much different these style of foxes are. The pros =Newer engine installation, new computer, new exhaust (2 1/2" bbk xpipe w/2 chamber thrush mufflers) sounds great! nice stereo and 6 new speakers. Alright The cons= there is some cowl damage from the previous owner having the hood come up and taking out the windsheild, which obviously was replaced with a new hood also. the interior is ok, but driver seat needs redone. the car is an auto and overdrive seems weak, but fluid flush would probly fix it. I was going to put a 5-speed in the car so I didn't really use overdrive much, all the other gears are tough though. one more thing theres no power getting to the switch for the top pulldown motor, the motor works, but have to apply power to it, probly a bad wire somewhere. The top is Mechanical but has a rear pull down mechanism to seal the top to the deck. well anyway the car is over 20 years old and is going to have its little quarks! I hate to get rid of her but im starting to get into bikes now. So I am willing to trade for older harley or whatever, No crotch rockets please.
