I really like the grey interior. I have never been a fan of tan, which is what my car has.

The car is very unusual! Sterling Silver Metallic, Paris Blue Metallic & Atlantic Blue Metallic were introduced for the Spring Selling Season, around about this time of the year, in 1986. At the same time, ascMcLaren also brought out the "Performance Decor Package", which included the entire ground effect kit from the COUPE. That being the front unique appearance lower air dam with the Hella Fog Lights, the side ground effects skirting and the rear under bumper fascia/air valance with exhaust pipe cutouts. The package also included the headlamp & taillamp covers. The MSRLP was $1,395.00. In addition, they added the "Charcoal" interior color AND the Black convertible top color. The Charcoal was extremely dark midnight grey. It looked more black, than it did grey. It was suggested to dealers on the introductory letter that they order the "Performance Decor Group" with the 3 new colors. If they ordered the group on one of the 3 new colors, AND took 3 cars, one in each color, the Performance Decor Group would be "No Charge" ~ The "Suggested" order on the Sterling Silver car was tro order it with the Charcoal Interior & Black Roof to showcase the 3 new colors.

Here we have a car, the 1st I've ever seen, most likely the only one, and WITHOUT the Performance Decor Package! This is an exceptionally rare car! No doubt ordered by a customer (vs "for inventory") who did not like the ground effects or light covers! I'd bet the farm that this is a 1 off ! He actually paid $1,395.00 more for this car ! This is the CHARCOAL Interior !!!
Production of the Spring Specials follows:
14 in Sterling Silver
12 in Paris Blue Metallic
11 in Atlantic Blue Metallic
37 Total Units. This shows that at least 3 dealers did NOT take the 3 car package and receive the free Performance Decor Package, possibly more, but at least 3.

UPDATE! Seller if playing Mr secret on what he wants for ASC i could not get out of him what he wants for it i will never understand this on ebay if you take the time effort and money to list it why not price what you want for it? Some people are really squarrley like that and maybe after he trys to sell it a few more times he will be a little more realistic on his expectations? like the guy i bought the 85 GP4 from

I contacted the gentleman, and he stated he'd like 10,200 for the car. That's more than I have in my car buying buget, if someone else is interested.

FIGURED HE WOULD PRICE IT NOW AFTER AUCTION BROUGHT LESS THAN HALF THAT! GOOD TO KNOW INFO IN ANY CASE!
