Mike and or Sandy,Rear Axle tag???

Hi folks,been awhile since I've posted,can either of you,or someone else who might know give me info based on the tag off of the rear axle of my
86 Vert.

V 275D
73 75 6F21

I have the White w/Blue int.Blue Rag Top.
#236, 6 cyl. Air,PW,PL, Wood Grain Facia. in Michigan.
Still working on getting some pics posted.

It has been a while since I have done this, so please correct me if I am wrong...

It looks like part of the tag is missing or was hidden under the bolt head:

V = Should be 3-4 letters - Axle model
275D = Manufaturing Plant

73 = axle ratio, Missing a number - Should be 2.73.
75 = ring gear diameter (7.5)
6F21 = date code July 21, 1986

If there is an 'L' instead of a '.' in the ratio then it has a locking differential installed.

I assumed that the ratio was 2.73 and not 3.73 since the 2.73 was the only factory selection for the V6 and I believe the 3.73 was only available in the SVO.

Yes, some numbers are missing, I believe Mustang Marty is 100% correct on everything he has posted.
