Plastic grill
Plastic grill
Can the plastic grill that is front of the windshield be replaced? The one that has the windshield washer mounted on it. We had a hail storm here and it got broken. If it can be replaced where can I find one? Also the plastic trim below the windshield. I have a 86 Eurocoupe.

I believe the cowl grill is available in reproduction. Most used ones seems to be in good shape but need to be painted due to fading. Try 5.0reto for the repro.

FYI, a while ago I got a cheap NOS grill off from ebay that was advertised as a 1979 grill and I checked it against the other 1979 NOS cowl grill I have.
They were not identical. The one I just got is lacking two screw holes near the windshield. This is the same as the grill on my 1985. Flipping it over, it has an E3 casting number on it (1983)...the 1979 one I have is a D9 (1979) casting.
I don't know what grill version they are reproducing for the 79-82 Mustangs but if it's the D9 one, you will need to fill in those screw holes and sand and paint. There are other differences in the moulding but it only pertains to the underside and does not affect the edges that I could see.
